At Cardinal Newman College we offer A Levels in French, German and Spanish. Any Modern Language is highly sought after by employers and is a great skill to possess in the current work market. Furthermore top universities respect and recognise the demands of studying this subject and the wide array of transferable skills acquired by students who study a language at A Level. The study of A Level French enables you to communicate with ease if you decide to work, study or stay in France or other French-speaking countries. In your French lessons you will learn about French culture and the culture of French speaking countries.l You will also learn how the language works and therefore you will be able to talk and write about anything you want in French. You will be expected to work both independently and as a group in your lessons where you will read, watch videos, listen to songs, take part in debates, practice your speaking skills�and have fun!

What you need to get on

Five Grade 5s at GCSE and at least a 6 in French

How you are assessed

Academic subjects, mostly exams, three or four at once. The traditional route to university.
