Film Studies is designed to develop critical understanding of the film industry and its relevance to audiences in the visual media saturated society we now live. This course will help you develop analytical and evaluative skills by considering ideological approaches, spectatorship narrative and genre. You will also develop sophisticated research skills and there are many employability skills naturally embedded due to the nature in which you will learn.

What you need to get on

Students studying three A Levels will be expected to have a minimum of two GCSEs at grade 6 and three GCSEs at grade 5/4, including English Language and Mathematics at grade 5/4 or above. Or eight GCSEs at a minimum of grade 5.

How you are assessed

Academic subjects, mostly exams, three or four at once. The traditional route to university.
