Students taking this course should have an interest in watching a wide range of films from different genres and eras. They should enjoy the opportunity to work independently to analyse and research films that interest them and be prepared to work creatively to produce their own short screenplays. Students should be interested in examining the social, political and cultural influences that have impacted on film production over the years and be curious about the production and marketing of films in the modern film industry. To get the most out of the course, they must have a genuine enthusiasm and love for film.

Grade 4 in both English Language and English Literature.
