At A-Level, this specification enables candidates to explore the fundamental structures and functions of writing, speech and conversation and how language functions in different social contexts and at different stages through childhood; students are able to study children’s language development, exploring how children learn language and how they are able to understand and express themselves through language as well as studying the uses of language within different social contexts.
