English Language focuses on how texts work: the real difference with this subject is that you will study written texts AND spoken texts equally. How written and spoken texts work is a complicated process, which involves considering the purpose, genre and audience for a text but also the society which the text is part of and comes from.

What you need to get on

Students require 5 A*-C GCSE passes to enter 6th form. Subject specific criteria will be available at the open evening on November 3rd

How you are assessed

Academic subjects, mostly exams, three or four at once. The traditional route to university.
