You will develop skills and knowledge in a range of designing and manufacturing processes. Investigational skills, linked with industrial methods will allow the study of a wide range of materials, together with past and present designers and design movements. Communication methods: Graphics is an integral part of any Design and Technology work. It is important students can communicate their thinking and represent their ideas graphically.

What you need to get on

You would normally have successfully completed a GCSE course in Resistant Materials, Product Design or Engineering, achieving at least a grade 5. If you do not have the relevant qualifications, come and talk to us about a possible place on the course.

How you are assessed

Academic subjects, mostly exams, three or four at once. The traditional route to university.
