Design and technology is an inspiring, rigorous and practical subject. The Eduqas Design and Technology A Level encourages learners to use creativity and imagination to develop and modify designs, and make prototypes that solve problems. Students are able to select their own topic area to develop through their coursework. The A Level Design and Technology specification is designed to develop learners’ subject knowledge, including how a product can be developed through the stages of prototyping, realisation and commercial manufacture. Students will also use 2D and 3D Computer Aided Design and a range of modern equipment . This A level is suitable for a range of careers across engineering, architecture and design. This A Level is rigorous and the school can consider supporting a student to undertake the A Level Textiles if their interest is in fashion and textiles within this course.

Grade 5 in Mathematics and English Language/Literature Grade 5/Pass in DT if studied
