What the college says

The course centres around the study of Contemporary, Modern and Jazz dance styles. However, there are many opportunities to learn and make use of other dance styles, to study a variety reflective of the wider dance industry. You will be able to transfer your choreographic and creative skills and develop your individual qualities as performers through development of physical, technical and expressive skills. We have strong links with specialist Dance/Performing Arts Colleges, Universities, professional Dance Companies and Dance Artists who are working in the industry. You will be exposed to a large amount of industry professionals, in order to enhance your skills and knowledge of Dance. This course involves both practical and theoretical exams.

What you need to get on

Requires the standard entry requirements of an A Level or mixed programme. Students must have achieved GCSE English language or English literature at grade 4, plus show a demonstrable interest in Dance, or a Level 2 BTEC in Performing Arts at merit or GCSE Dance at grade 4.

How you are assessed

Academic subjects, mostly exams, three or four at once. The traditional route to university.
