Or maybe you are considering a career in games development or systems analysis? If so the A Level in Computer Science could be the perfect choice for you. Studying Computer Science at A Level will give you an in-depth understanding of the fundamental concepts of computer science. The A Level in Computer Science promotes the integrated study of computer science. It will enable learners to develop a broad range of skills in the areas of programming, system development, computer architecture, data, communication and applications. You will study three units; Programming and System Development; Computer Architecture, Data, Communication and Applications and Programmed Solution to a Problem, which is the non-examined part of the course.

What you need to get on

Five Grade 5s at GCSE and at least a 6 in Maths (strongly advised to also study Maths or Core Maths)

How you are assessed

Academic subjects, mostly exams, three or four at once. The traditional route to university.
