The Computer Science qualification focuses on the concept of computational thinking, helping students to develop the skills to solve problems, design systems and understand the power and limits of human and machine intelligence. Every industry uses computers so naturally computer scientists can work in any. Problems in science, engineering, health care, and so many other areas can be solved by computers. It's up to the computer scientist to figure out how, and design the software to apply the solution. Topics we study: Year 1: Computing Fundamentals, Hardware and Software, Networking, Data Representation, Computational Thinking and Computing Issues effecting society. Year 2: Exchanging Data, Algorithm Design and Complexity, Problem Solving Skills and Boolean algebra as well as completing a programming project of students choosing.

Academic subjects, mostly exams, three or four at once. The traditional route to university.
