This course is for students with a deep rooted interest in computers, computing and the science behind it all. You will use computers at home, in your spare time and probably want to work in the industry where computers and IT are involved. You may not know what you want to specialise in yet and this will open your eyes to a whole new world where you can decide from games design to network architecture or working for the government in protecting us from cyberattacks.

What you need to get on

Must have achieved at least a grade 5 in Mathematics and English at GCSE. Having been taught Computer Science or at least ICT at GCSE is also desirable.

How you are assessed

Academic subjects, mostly exams, three or four at once. The traditional route to university.
