The course develops and extends the themes studied at GCSE but also introduces new topics such as, Synthesis of Organic Molecules and Spectroscopy. 5 GCSEs or equivalent at 5+, including 4+ in English and 5+ Maths. Grade 6 in GCSE Chemistry OR Grade 6-5 in GCSE Combined Science with equivalent of a Grade 6 achieved in Chemistry

Academic subjects, mostly exams, three or four at once. The traditional route to university.
