A level Biology covers a wide variety of content; students will learn about biological molecules, cells, organisms in their environment and the genetic relationships between organisms in Year 1. In Year 2, the content will build to include in-depth studies of the mechanisms that control life, death, movement and hemostasis. You will also study emerging fields in genetics and the manipulation of genes to treat diseases.

What you need to get on

Grade 7 in Triple Biology, Grade 7-7 in Combined Science, Grade 6 in Maths and English Language. Students choosing this course need both mathematical ability and strong literacy skills

How you are assessed

Academic subjects, mostly exams, three or four at once. The traditional route to university.
