Ever wondered how the heart works, how hormones control the body, how and why animals and plants are different from each other? Then the challenging but rewarding Biology course could be for you. The large amount of information covered makes this course desirable for a wide range of courses at University including degrees in healthcare, such as medicine, veterinary or dentistry, as well as the biological sciences, such as biochemistry, molecular biology or forensic science. Biology can also complement sports science, psychology, sociology and many more. A-level Biology is widely regarded as a facilitating subject and by choosing facilitating subjects at advanced level, you will have a much wider range of options open to you at university. An advanced level qualification in any facilitating subject will keep open to you a number of degree courses. A Level Biology can open up a range of career opportunities including: biological, medical, or environmental research, forensics, sports and science communication. The transferable skills you will learn, such as problem solving, are also useful for many other areas, such as law.
