Learn to develop design solutions, exploring the power of visual communication as an invaluable commercial tool. Whether you prefer traditional or digital illustration, you will explore a range of media and software to enable you to allow your creativity to flourish. Do you possess a lively, enquiring mind? Do you enjoy developing your ideas through drawing and utilising a range of processes towards a final project? On this course, you will develop design solutions and explore the power of visual communication as an invaluable commercial tool. The course is structured to support and develop your confidence and individual strengths, from illustrative and traditional studio-based skills through to more graphics and digitally based practice, allowing for a broad and creative approach to design. You will progress through the course with a range of varied and challenging workshops developing fundamental skills and knowledge integral to the world of illustration and design.

What you need to get on

Preferably GCSE Art Grade 4 or above and a keen interest in drawing and developing your creativity.

How you are assessed

Academic subjects, mostly exams, three or four at once. The traditional route to university.
