Do you have an adventurous, inquisitive and creative mind? This is the course for you if you enjoy drawing and painting, printmaking and working in 3D. A Level Art offers you the chance to work with a variety of different materials, processes and techniques to explore different ways of expressing yourself and the world in which we live.

What you need to get on

Ideally you need Level 4 or above at GCSE, in both Art and English. There is a written element to Art A Level and, as well as getting involved creatively in your practical portfolio, you also need to write an extended essay that connects to your practical portfolio.

How you are assessed

Academic subjects, mostly exams, three or four at once. The traditional route to university.
