What the college says

The course has Resistant Materials at its core, aiming to encourage designing through experimentation and innovation. It is a natural progression from the Level 2 course we deliver, it is assignment based and you will be working through a series of projects in order to gain the necessary skills to design and manufacture in a variety of materials. The course will be focused on the design process and problem solving, from researching, through drawing and modelling your designs to producing final products.

What you need to get on

You must have achieved at least a grade 4 or C in GCSE Art or a Merit in Level 2 BTEC Art & Design. If you have not previously studied Art, you will be invited to submit a portfolio of work for consideration.

One subject in depth, assessed largely through coursework and projects.
