What the college says
Throughout the first year of this two year linear course you will be completing a range of tasks that will build up your practical skills and associated knowledge. Maths and Science skills are fundamental to design and technology and these will be embedded within the examination for this qualification. In the second year of study you will complete a major design and make project.
What you need to get on
Students should have at least 6 GCSEs 9-4 including English and Maths. Grade 5 in a suitable Design Technology subject .
How you are assessed
Academic subjects, mostly exams, three or four at once. The traditional route to university.
